Feel the burn

Today was another great workout at Valley Crossfit. Mike put us through a great warm-up consisting of all types of squats and then for the main workout, guess what we did..... more squats!
The workout consisted of doing 5 reps of "clusters" every minute for 20mins (a cluster is a power clean squat straight into a thruster). Rich, Gabe and myself all showed up for the workout this morning and powered through it. After the workout your body feels destroyed, but in a good way. To take our minds of our burnt out arms and legs went to Hugo's in Studio City and had a delicious nutritious breakfast. Hugo's is definitely one of my favorite places to go eat in L.A.
Training has been going great. Slowing knocking out those 10,000hrs.

Valley Crossfit

Mike Latch runs VALLEY CROSSFIT here in the Valley and it is one of the best workouts I have ever done. I give all credit to Mike and crossfit for getting me in shape for the American Ninja Warrior competition. Without the training and conditioning I would have not been able to make it to Japan.

Well, the next try outs for ANW are coming up in March so it's time to get back in gear. I'm doing Crossfit twice a week as well as yoga and freerunning. I want to rock out on that course!

And so it begins...

Happy New Year everyone! This is going to be a good year. I'm surrounded by good people with big dreams and the motivations to make them come true. This is not only going to be a good year for myself but also for Tempest. The storm is growing and we have soo many plans for this year. This will be the best year yet.

As for new years resolutions and goals, I do have a few set for myself:
(a great site to help you keep track of your goals and daily "to dos" is www.teuxdeux.com)

1. Focus on becoming a better athlete by sticking to a goal oriented training schedule.
2. Create a training log and write in it everyday I train, logging the hours (trying to reach that 10,000hr mark!).
3. Eat meat only once a week or less.
4. Barefoot train once a week or more.
5. Track my spending (check out www.mint.com)

My overall motto for the new year is to live, laugh, and love.

The storm is growing. Get ready for all the lightening!

Live free or die,
Diddy
